The Most Amazing Chocolate Cake

The Most Amazing Chocolate Cake is here. I call this my Matilda Cake because I swear it's just as good as the cake that Bruce Bogtrotter ate in Matilda. Moist, chocolaty perfection. This is the chocolate cake you've been dreaming of!

I made this cake yesterday. Absolutely wonderful! I think next time I’ll freeze one of the layers and just make a 2 layer. Might be nice to have a layer on hand sometime. The 3 layer is really big! Everyone loved the cake. Wouldn’t change a thing. Definitely follow her instructions on buttering/dusting the pans. I only did it on one and then sprayed the other 2 pans to see what would happen. Nothing tragic, but the sprayed pans didn’t come out as easily and had more of a crusty edge. Still delish.

This was in fact the most amazing chocolate cake. People kept eating about half of their slices and “putting it away for later”. They called it really good but a bit rich. I must not have a rich threshold. I wanted another slice and so did my chocolate loving aunt! This is definitely for chocolate lovers. It will be my go to cake for now on. If you are anything like me, you like to have chocolate cake ingredients on hand. I could only get buttermilk in a carton and it turns out you can freeze it. I froze the leftovers in small measured containers so that I have it ready for the next cake.

This cake is moist and has the perfect crumb. I cannot imagine making a chocolate cake using any other recipe.  It is so easy to make and puts doctored cake mix recipes to shame. I’m eating a piece of the cake as I’m writing this, drooling all over my keyboard. It is insanely delicious. A decades search was worth the wait. Every…decadent…bite. Who wants cake?

Loved the cake! So easy plus it rich and moist and turned out great.
